United States, France, and Japan developed constitutions instituting their respective national states and regimes. However, the path leading
to the current constitutional arrangement is different in each country.
For example, in some cases, it involved several constitutional attempts and severe internal (domestic) political instability. In other cases,

three countries–United States, France, and Japan– and having in mind
the influences, pressures, threats, and challenges internal to these
countries or coming from abroad, which (if any) of these factors do you
think is the most determinant for the shape that a constitution takes?
Why?
