In an essay, describe the image of deity (with their functions and myths) as it changes through the ages in ancient western culture from the Stone Age, to the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, and the Axis Age. Provide examples from Stone Age Goddess culture, ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Canaan, Israel, Assyria, Greece, and Persia. Throughout the essay, also address when, why, and how the Goddess vanished for each culture.
Your essay should be approximately 10 paragraphs in length, a minimum of one paragraph for each of the cultures listed above, plus a conclusion. Use double-line spacing and 12 point type. No internet material is allowed, except for what is embedded in class. All answers are to be based on lectures primarily. Do not cut and paste from lectures; put it in your own words.
Basically, you want to follow instructions, answer the questions asked, the more details you provide the stronger it will be, and proofread. Your essay should be about 4 to 5 pages in length, do not go over 5 pages. Points will be deducted if it is too long.  There is no need for page citations from lectures, but if you use the textbook or online readings it would be a good idea to include citations for those. You do not need a bibliography.
Outline of Essay:
Paragraph 1 Stone Age Goddess culture (with the first sentence introducing what the essay is about)
Paragraph 2 ancient Egypt
Paragraph 3 Mesopotamia
Paragraph 4 Babylon (both Old & Neo-Babylonia, but Neo-Babylonia would fit better after Assyria)
Paragraph 5 Canaan
Paragraph 6 Israel
Paragraph 7 Assyria
Paragraph 8 Greece
Paragraph 9 Persia
Paragraph 10 conclusion
You can have more paragraphs, but not less.
